Beatdom #6

Beatdom’s sixth issue will soon be with us. The release date is tentatively set at 2nd April.

This issue will feature CoRP authors Edaurdo Jones and Kyle Chase, and will be edited by David S. Wills.

The theme of this issue is “Travel,” and as such the essays in the magazine revolve around the relationship between the Beat Generation and travel. There is also previously unpublished work by Alene Lee – Mardou Fox of Jack Kerouac’s The Subterraneans – and an interview with Scroobius Pip.

March Update

March marks another great month for City of Recovery Press as we roll towards the publication of our first books. As you will no doubt be aware, we recently published the fifth issue of Beatdom magazine, and are moving quickly forward with issue six. Issue six is a travel-themed issue, and will feature previous the unpublished memoirs of Alene Lee.

See the Beatdom website for more information.

We are currently excited about Kyle Chase, the poet who first graced the pages of Beatdom only a month ago. His first book of poetry is set to light a fire under the literary community. It’s titled The sickness which started him typing… and will be released this summer.

Read this for more about Kyle’s book.

We have agreed to publish a book by Edaurdo Jones, the Voice of the Doomed, later this year. Edaurdo is famous as Beatdom’s resident short prose writer – a celebrated author awaiting the release of his first book.

David S. Wills’ chapbooks on Hunter S. Thompson are set for a 2010 release, too. They will be short studies of the work of Hunter S. Thompson.
